Windows 10: Desktop background not working

I've gone into the personalizaion menu and clicked the background tab, selected slideshow, selected my folder, chose how often i want the pictures to change and chose my fit and no picture pops up in the background. I've restarted my laptop and still nothing seems to work.

If there are multiple pictures in the background, it should just work.

Can you right-click on the desktop and choose "Next desktop background" - does that work?

Is this a laptop?

 

Windows 10 Task menu background transparency

I discovered how! The task menu option for Full screen has to be "on" then the background becomes the desktop background instead of the blurred colored background through which the desktop background Is barely visible.

hello, everyone.
if other options did not help, I had this same problem.

please try settings>ease of access>other options>visual options as title then simply turn on "show windows background"..

this option has helped with showing my background pictures I hope this can help everyone else aswell thank you for reading *Smile

 

I can't believe it but this worked for me
Rt clik personalization as usual
In "background" box select "solid color" (slideshow was previously selected, but didn't work)
Then reselect "slideshow"
The pictures sub folder I had previously browsed for now acts as a slideshow!
(the other parameters, eg. "fit" also work)
