Windows 10: Desktop background pic became garbage sometimes after set 'Personalize->Background->slide show'

In Windows 10 system settings, set 'Personalize->Background->slide show' , then use the unit

sometimes desktop background pic became garbage as below




After more time fail, it can be found below scenriao can easy repro the symptom:

if set 'slide show' folder is a folder without pic in root pathhave pic in child folder

then change screen resolution, the symptom is easy to be duplicated

Set background slideshow

• Press Windows logo key + I key.
• Click on Personalization.
• Under Background dropdown menu, select slideshow.
• Click on Browse button and then select the folder from which the desktop slide’s to be applied.

Use the following steps:

Navigate to Settings>Personalize>Background

Under background,

In the drop down list select Slide show.

This issue may arise when you had choose picture from other folder to display in slideshow.

  Right click from desktop and select Personalize.

  On the right side, you will be able to see Background option.

  Expand it and select Slideshow.

  Check whether you had added any Folders to the slide show under “Choose albums for your slideshow”.

  If you have added any folder you can remove the folder by clicking the folder.
