  1. Desktop cannot connect to wifi after moving

Hello guys! I recently moved my gaming desktop computer to a new house, which also means connecting to a new wifi network, except I can't figure out how to do this. Here are the details:

    • The desktop is a CyberPower PC and it uses Windows 10 (this should be pretty obvious lol)
    • At my old house it connected perfectly fine; I'm only experiencing issues now
    • When I open wifi it shows a bunch of different wifi networks except all of them are past ones and not ones that I can actually connect to
    • When I try to remove those saved wifi networks after I restart they all come back
    • I have tried trouble shooting and restarting my computer many times to no avail
    • I have two antivirus programs on the computer: webroot and windows defender
    • When I went exploring around on windows defender it said that while I am connected to public networks I am not connected to private ones; I could still not find any ways to change this though
    • When using my work laptop I am not experiencing this problem at all even though they are both windows computers and were both connected to the same network at the old house

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

Laptops cannot access desktops via WIFI

I have 3 desktops (all on Windows 10 1803) connected on my LAN. After following this forum for some times and did all the steps as suggested by forum member, access denied, all my desktops are able to view and access one another. I have a printer connected to PC1, and managed to connect all the other 2 PCs to have the shared printer.

I also have 2 more laptops (both Asus with the same Windows 10 1803) connected via WIFI. Performed all the same steps as per the desktops, but I was not able to access PC1. I was able to view all the 3 desktops from the file explorer, but I just can't access all the desktops. However, I was able to access the Asus laptops from desktop PC1.

Anyone able to assist on this matter? Any assistance is highly appreciated.

    "Can't connect to this network."

I just bought a wifi card for my windows 10 desktop (a tp-link archer t8e) and cannot connect to my network.

I have the wifi icon on the tray, I can get a list of available networks but after entering the wpa key for my network it just shows the message "Can't connect to this network."

Network diagnosis just suggested connecting to a wifi network (why didn't I think of that...), does anyone here have any clue as to what the problem could be?

UPDATE: Just noticed that the wifi adapter is being disabled briefly just after I enter the network password, no idea what's going on.

    • Right click on your connection name (WiFi name) and Properties.

    • Click the Configure... button.

    • Go to Power Management tab.

    • Uncheck/disable the radio button for "Allow this device to turn off this device to save power".
