Windows 10: Desktop constantly going into slideshow mode

I have a single image in my Windows 11 Pictures Folder. If I place more than one image in this folder and after just 1 minute of no keyboard or mouse use, my computer goes to sleep and begins a slideshow if I have two or more images in the Pictures folder. I have two issues. The first is that my computer wants to go to sleep after 60 seconds of no use no matter what my power settings are. I can change them to never go to sleep or any any number of hours and still my computer goes to sleep after 1 minute of no activity. Its really annoying. When my computer goes to sleep it automatic

Photos slideshow

I understand the inconvenience that you are unable view the photos in slideshow as it repeats after few photos and need to know “How can I change this to show a continuous and non-repeating slideshow?”. We will help you to

  Where does the photos folder located?

  Did you try to change the folder location and check?
  

I suggest you to follow the below steps:

Step 1: If the photos folder is located on the desktop, try to create another folder and copy all the content to the newly created folder and add this folder for slideshow and check.



Step 2: Try to create new folder if different location and copy all the content to the newly created folder in different location and add this folder for slideshow and check.

Set background slideshow

I understand your inconvenience. We will assist you with it.

I suggest you to follow the steps provided below to set slide desktop.

• Press Windows logo key + I key.
• Click on Personalization.
• Under Background dropdown menu, select slideshow.
• Click on Browse button and then select the folder from which the desktop slide’s to be applied.

Desktop does not stay in slideshow mode.

My desktop does not stay in slideshow mode. I've put all the photos I want in a separate folder and selected that folder for my slideshow. However, when I leave the setup screen back to my desktop the Slideshow setting returns to Picture setting. No matter
how I exit the setup area it always reverts back. Oh and my slideshow folder is on my C:\ drive.

Anyone have any ideas?
