Windows 10: Desktop, Docutments and Pictures folder saved on OneDrive instead of locally

Hello.My Desktop folder, Documents folder, and Picture folder are saved on OneDrive, instead of my user folder. As you can see from the screenshot, there isn't another set in the User folder. I'd very much like to have my documents saved locally. If I try to drag the pictures folder from C:\Users\NAME\OneDrive to C:\Users\Name, I'm unable to access the folder from the "This PC" dropdown on the left, and I get an error when trying to save to it.How would I go about fixing this? I'm contemplating backing up my documents and simply resetting the PC.

Documents and Pictures folder shortcuts in User folder go to OneDrive instead of the local folders.

Hello. I am having troubles with my User folder in Windows 10.

I had OneDrive activated because I use OneDrive to store files I want available across multiple devices, but there are other files that I keep local in my home machine. I've had a OneDrive Documents and Pictures folders showing together with my local Documents
and Pictures folders under my User folder. I didn't like it, but it was working alright. Today, however, my local folders disappeared from my User folder in File Explorer and I cannot access them through the User folder shortcuts. The actual local folders
are still in my hard drive because if I enter their path, they can be navigated to. The shortcuts now only point to OneDrive folders.

I deactivated OneDrive in my machine and all I got was a local copy of the OneDrive folders that the User folder keeps pointing to.

I tried the Properties > Location tab to point to the location of my local folders instead, but 1. Documents shortcut didn't have a Locations tab, and 2. Pictures folder says I don't have access to change the location.

How do I get my User folder to display all shortcuts to my local folders and my OneDrive folder to have the shortcuts to the OneDrive folders instead of this huge mix?

Onedrive Desktop Problems

I believe this is the AutoProtection feature in OneDrive that is not very well explained by Microsoft. Instead of keeping a local copy of your files, it moves all of the local folders to the OneDrive folder, and creates symlinks (that don't always work) in place of local content.

To disable, go to OneDrive settings - Auto-save - choose folders to unprotect.

You will then have to manually move the files/folders from OneDrive to the actual local place (so OneDrive/Desktop will need to be moved to %userfolder%/Desktop to restore local access)

My documents are already being saved to 'This PC only'.

The Documents folder in the libraries is correct (local drive).

The Documents folder in the quick access area is correct (local drive).

The only thing that is incorrect is the documents folder under 'This PC'?

Also is 'winhelponline.com' affiliated with Microsoft?
