Windows 10: Desktop/File explorer Icons not showing up + Task Manager not opening.

For some odd reason my Desktop and file explorer icons don't show up, only the name is visible.But when i try searching the apps in the search bar, the icon shows up normal, except some icons like folders.Another issue is that Task manager refuses to open no matter what. Ive tried doing the shorcut, wait 10 minutes in case my laptop was just being slow, doing it the normal way and through powershell, but nothing works.I've tried restarting my laptop to fix all these issues but that didin't work either.Im open to try almost everything :Link to images.

We got reports/feedback that we are seeing some issues where the desktop icons is non-responsive. Please try the following steps and check if it resolves the file explorer and desktop icon issue:

• Open the Task manager. Here’s a tip: Press CTRL+Shift+ESC.
  
• Click File > Run New Task.
• Make sure you have a check mark beside “Create this task with administrative privileges”
  
• Type PowerShell.
• Type the following in the PowerShell prompt:
  
  $manifest = (Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.WindowsStore).InstallLocation + '\AppxManifest.xml' ; Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register $manifest
  
• Close the PowerShell window.
• Reboot.

Computer not showing desktop or start icon?

My computer is not showing the desktop icons or the start menu bar... everytime I want to open something i have to use the windows task manager. anyone know why this happens? also when i want to open My Computer properties or something it says I'm missing the RUNDLL32.EXE

 

Cannot find Desktop Icon in File Explorer

My Desktop is showing icons as normal. But if I try to find what is on my desktop by using file manager, I cannot find the icon. I also checked under C;\user my name, public, default and no desktop listed on any of them. Any suggestions?
