    Why did the startup window get cleared?

    I didn't missed any step, the list was gone and gone , even after using lot of programs the programs were not listed in that list.

    Hi,

    To help with you resolve the error upon starting up, we suggest that you perform the following steps:

    • Open This PC, then go to C:\Users\[your user account] folder.
    • Check if there are two Desktop folders. If so, delete the Desktop folder that contains no files.
    • Copy the Desktop folder that has files and paste it to
      C:\Windows\system32\config\systemprofile\ folder.

    Update us on the result.

    Windows 10 Desktop - Folders Gone

    Hello!

    I am now aware that after the initial update that Windows places you into a new default account. Initially, I was surprised that my desktop was gone. I found all of my Folders through the File Explorer and decided to move them to the new desktop.

    After restarting the computer I can only use my original account. My folders are gone permanently now, correct?
