Windows 10: Desktop icons getting moved to trashcan when clicked

Discus and support Desktop icons getting moved to trashcan when clicked in Windows 10 Gaming to solve the problem; I don't understand why, but sometimes when I click an icon it gets moved to the trashcan and won't open again until I restart my pc it also tells me...     Desktop icons getting moved to trashcan when clicked


    I don't understand why, but sometimes when I click an icon it gets moved to the trashcan and won't open again until I restart my pc it also tells me the file has been moved from desktop, please locate the file and try again. I don't know why or how but yeah, help?

    Freely moving desktop icons in windows 10

    Hi,

    I suggest you to try the steps below and check if it helps.

    • Right click on the blank space on desktop.
    • Click on View.
    • Uncheck Align icons to grid.

    Desktop Icon Keeps On Moving

    That's because your resolution is changing each time. To test, try setting to 1024x768, arrange a couple of icons and then restart the PC. As long as the resolution after startup is still 1024x768, then the icons won't move. Trust me. *Wink Desktop icons getting moved to trashcan when clicked ;)

    Desktop Icon Keeps On Moving

    try to lock it
    right click on desktop and you gonna find lock icon ( i forgot the exact name) just search it and activate auto arrange icon
    for some reason it happens like you run different resolution
