Windows 10: Desktop icons keep moving in default place

I want to organize my desktop where I can group my apps. However, the icons keeps going to a default place. Please help.

Remove Linux Desktop Icons

I am not sure whether this will work (Ubuntu does not have icons like that on the desktop by default), but I suggest opening the trash bin and sweeping the icons into the window showing the trash bin.

 

Desktop icons keep moving to default place

I really want my desktop to be customized wherein each icons are on group. For example the editing softwares are together and the games are together on a specific spot on my desktop.

However whenever I move the games on the right side, it always goes back to the left side where the other apps located.

Is it possible to group it together on where I want to place it?

To do that, go to Settings > Update & Security
> Check for Updates.

We also recommend changing the desktop icon settings. To access it, follow these steps:

  Type Themes and press Enter.

  Click Change desktop icons.
  
• 
  Uncheck Allow themes to change desktop icons.
  
• 
  Click Apply.
  
• 
  Click OK.
  

After installing the latest updates and changing the desktop icon settings, check if you can place icons on the left side of your screen.
