  1. Desktop icons keep resetting themselves

I am trying to use custom icons for my file folders, however, they keep resetting to the standard folder icon.

I am right clicking on the folder>properties>customize>change icon>browse>and selecting my downloaded icon. It does show the change, but then reverts back.

Anyone know a fix for this?

    Thanks!

  2. Remove Linux Desktop Icons

I am not sure whether this will work (Ubuntu does not have icons like that on the desktop by default), but I suggest opening the trash bin and sweeping the icons into the window showing the trash bin.
