Windows 10: Desktop Icons missing after Windows Install Deleted?

Hi All,I am facing an urgent issue as Windows will delete the Windows.Old folder on my C Drive in about 14 days.I recently had to reinstall Windows 10 because my PC froze and became unresponsive despite several restarts. Eventually, I encountered a blue screen and had no choice but to reinstall Windows 10. After the installation, I opted for a free upgrade to Windows 11, which was successful.Once the installation was complete, I began setting up my PC again. Everything seemed fine initially, but I noticed that my Desktop icons, including many important Excel spreadsheets and other files, were

Deleted icons stay on desktop (not in desktop folder)

I can only suggest that you
1 Add a list of steps you have already taken.
2 Add a comment about restarting the computer. Do the deleted icons disappear then?
2 Add a comment explaining if any Desktop items do delete correctly and whether or not there are any significant differences between those that do delete correctly and those that don't.
3 Add a list of any OS tweaks you have done & any third-party OS-related utilities you have run.

I assume you have already reinstalled your display driver.
I don't see a Repair install as being relevant. Repair Install - TenForumsTutorials

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

 

Remove Linux Desktop Icons

I am not sure whether this will work (Ubuntu does not have icons like that on the desktop by default), but I suggest opening the trash bin and sweeping the icons into the window showing the trash bin.
