  1. Desktop icons moving after update

Hello everyone. Recently updated my PC. Was one of the updates that says update and shutdown when powering off the PC. When I restarted the PC. All of my icons are bunched up in the corner all stacked up on each other. I cannot move them to where I want them on the desktop. I already disabled align to grid and tried it but didn't make any difference. I am not able to put them close together in rows like I used to be able to and it only lets me put a few or row. If I try to place one and it doesn't let it go there, it just goes back to the puke in the Upper let hand corner. The only way it seem

    Desktop Icon Keeps On Moving

That's because your resolution is changing each time. To test, try setting to 1024x768, arrange a couple of icons and then restart the PC. As long as the resolution after startup is still 1024x768, then the icons won't move. Trust me. *Wink Desktop icons moving after update ;)

    Move Icon to Desktop

    Hi Patricia,

For us to better assist you with this concern, we need to ask a few questions:

    • Are you getting any error messages when you are trying to move the Excel icon to your desktop?
    • Were there any changes made prior to this issue?

You can create an Excel desktop shortcut on your Windows 10 computer by referring to the steps provided in the article on this link.

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Thank you.
