    Only 2 icons are being shown on the top of the screen and icon selection area is too wide while their text size is normal. My display settings are change the size of the apps and text on the main menu at '125% recommended' under the "make everything bigger".

    Windows 10 desktop Icon resizing?

    I found out how to resize desktop icons, see below ,

    To change the desktop icons take the steps below:

    · Right click on an empty area of the desktop

    · Select ‘View’



    From here we will have three options:

    · Large Icons

    · Medium Icons

    · Classic Icons



    When you select the options listed above the icons will change based on the size selected.

    You might have accidentally change some settings on your computer.

    We suggest following these troubleshooting steps on how to resolve the issue:

    Method 1: Check View option.

    • Right-click the desktop.
    • Select View and then Show desktop icons.
    • Make sure the option is checked.

    If issue persist, follow the method below.

    Method 2: Check Settings.

    • Click Start, search for Settings.
    • Select Tablet mode on the left pane.
    • Turn off Hide app icons on the taskbar in tablet mode and
      Automatically hide the taskbar in tablet mode
      .

    Hi Kevin,

    With regard to your query about the system tray, we suggest that you follow the steps below and see if it helps.

    • Right-click on an empty space in your desktop taskbar and select Properties.
    • In the Taskbar and Start Menu Properties window, find the selection labeled
      Notification Area and click on Customize.
    • Click on Turn system icons on or off.
    • If you'd like to always show all icons, turn the slider window to On.
    • Reboot the PC for the changes to take effect.
