    Desktop icons won't move to the bottom of my screen


    Hello,I do not have "auto arrange" or "grid" or any of that checked. I'm at 100% screen size. When I try to drag an object e.g., a file to the bottom of my screen, right above my task bar, it snaps immediately to the top left of my screen. So, I have a stack of about 5 objects on top of each other. It's as if it "thinks" the bottom 6" of my screen doesn't exist anymore.I've reset my PC and it didn't fix it. I erased my windows.ini file and it didn't work. I have Windows 11 Home for PC with all updates. I have no other screens attached.Thanks for any help!!David

    Remove Linux Desktop Icons

    I am not sure whether this will work (Ubuntu does not have icons like that on the desktop by default), but I suggest opening the trash bin and sweeping the icons into the window showing the trash bin.

    can´t configure size of desktop icons on Win 11

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\Bags\1

    [ regedit started as admin ]

    On previous Windows versions I was used to configure the desktop icons size by editing on Dword screen the decimal value.
    Now on Windows 11 I can´t do it , it simply won´t work.

    Desktop Icons Won't Stay Put

    Hi Laurie,

    As per the issue description I understand that you are facing issues with desktop icons.

    I suggest you try the following step in order to arrange the icons.

    • Right click on the desktop.
    • Click on view
    • Check the option auto arrange icons.
