Windows 10: Desktop Icons

My computer is a Lenovo and am running Windows 10. Until a few days ago, I was using a 19" View Sonic monitor and controlled the desktop icons with "Icon Shepherd". Changed to a Dell 19". Now am unable, with Icon Shepherd, to get the desktop icons to remain where I place them. Everytime I cut the computer off, then awake it from "Sleeping", the icons are moved from the places where I placed them. I've tried many "guaranteed cures" but none worked. Any suggestions?

Remove Linux Desktop Icons

I am not sure whether this will work (Ubuntu does not have icons like that on the desktop by default), but I suggest opening the trash bin and sweeping the icons into the window showing the trash bin.

 

Desktop Icons Won't Stay Put

As per the issue description I understand that you are facing issues with desktop icons.

I suggest you try the following step in order to arrange the icons.

• Right click on the desktop.
• Click on view
• Check the option auto arrange icons.
