    Desktop merging with disk E

I tried to move my desktop to my secondary disk E, but it ended up merging with it, now all the disk folders are shown on my desktop, like in this case: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-files/desktop-folder-appears-to-have-merged-with-e-drive/fd98edf4-b453-4933-80ec-95d3c9fd5941 .When i tried to restore the desktop's old location it showed this error:

  2. Move Desktop location after merging it with E Driver

    Hello,

When I moved the Desktop location to E Driver, I accidentally moved it under E:\ without creating a folder Desktop. Therefore, the Desktop now merges with the whole E Drive. Namely, the computer now treats E:\ as Desktop!

When I tried to move my Desktop elsewhere, it actually moved the whole E:\, and of course, it is not allowed to do so

Is there any way to split E:\ and Desktop, or set the other folder as Desktop.

    Thank you

    Company merging on the horizon

The Inq. talks about some major company merging that could take place this summer. What is likely to happen is summarized in the following list:

    • eBay is in talks with Microsoft and Yahoo regarding cooperation and perhaps even a combination
    • Oracle, SAP and perhaps Novell might be "up to something"
    • Telecoms will surely continue to be a big source of deal-making and not just through attempts to build scale and geographic coverage. Deals such as Sky-Easynet and eBay-Skype suggest that combinations of services could be the way forward.
    • Sun might be bought by Fujitsu Siemens, HP or Dell

    Desktop and user folder merging

    Hi,

There are different ways for you to recover the previous folder settings on your computer. One of these is by following the steps below to organize and relocate your desktop or user folder.

    • Press Windows key + E to launch File Explorer.
    • Right-click on the special folder that you want to restore (Desktop).
    • Then select Properties.
    • Navigate to the Location tab.
    • Click Restore Default.
    • Then click Apply to save the changes.

Let us know if you have any further questions.
