Windows 10: Desktop microphone jack

So I Bought a nice looking desktop microphone from Wish. And shortly after opening it i noticed A problem. It had a headphone jack, every time i plugged it in I got madder and madder because it would not show up in the recording devices. I also could find it in playback devices the device manager. Im lost... did i pass over something or am i doomed because it has a headphone jack.


Side note: Im not Einstien when it comes to electronics i know only the basics, most of what i tried was from online. So if your going to answer im gonna need more descriptive instructions.

microphone jack not working

So i finally decide to buy a headset, and i plugged the headphone jack into the audio jack which works,but when it comes to microphone jack it don't work.
it doesn't show that its a headset on windows 7 audio device, so i thought i'll try my case sound jacks..but i have 2 connectors on the case 1 is AC_97 and another is HD_Audio and i don't know which one i plug into i only have one F_audio connector on my motherboard,is that even the right socket to get my case audio jack to work?
Someone help me please

 

No sound from desktop front jack headphones or microphone

Please answer the below questions to assist you better.

1. What is the make and model of the computer?

2. Did you make any changes in the system settings prior to this issue?

3. Is the Speakers or Microphone visible in the Playback Tab or Recording Tab?

Follow the below methods and check if it helps.

Method 1: Run the Audio Troubleshooter on the system

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with Sound. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your Audio

Refer these steps:

• Press Windows key +X, select Control panel.
• Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons.
• Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel
• Run the playing Audio troubleshooter

Method 2: You can also try setting up internal speaker as default and check the status of the issue.

• Right-click on the speaker icon on the right bottom of the desktop.
• Click on “Playback devices” to see a list of devices connected to the system.
• If it is not listed, it is possible that the device has been disabled accidentally. Right click and select “Show disabled devices”.
• If your device is listed after this, right click on the speaker and select “enable”.
  
• After this, right click on the speaker and click “set as default” option present at the bottom of the same window.
  

For Microphone as default follow all the steps given from the above method but select the Recording devices in the second method.

How to use microphone jack as audio jack?

Thank you for posting your concern in Microsoft community and welcome to the Windows 10 Family.

Please be informed that Microphone input cannot be used as a line out for audio.

At this point, fixing/replacing the jack manually or finding an alternative with Microphone input might not be the best of the solutions.

I suggest you to refer to the manufacturer for additional information and assistance on the same.
