Windows 10: Desktop monitor blacks out and comes back when plugging in usb device sometimes - Possibly...

For a while now even after a clean fresh reinstall, sometimes plugging in a usb device such as a joystick or audio jack-usb will temporarily and quickly make the screen go black and return the monitor will show connection type as well which is display port.I thought I would take a look through event viewer and found that event ID 201 A connection to the Windows Metadata and Internet Services WMIS could not be established. happened exactly upon the screen returning.I am also noticing the other event ID's 200 - 202 are cons

In windows 10, I plugged in an AOC USB monitor but its just flashing

I have a new Dell Optiplex 3050 desktop and I plugged in a second USB monitor, AOL Model 173LM00001, Product E1759FWU. The monitor is just flashing. I have look for a device and the Windows message is that the device is not detected, hence I cannot upgrade/install
a driver. Any ideas why this monitor is not detected. I have tried a few suggestions made on-line (changing the power option by removing the fast start tick, also other similar suggestions connected to the power) but this did not resolve the issue.

Any suggestions as to what this may be?

In most cases, this issue can be caused by either an unstable/ corrupt USB controller or your computer's drivers need to be updated.

For us to isolate the possibilities, we suggest that you perform the following troubleshooting steps in succeeding order:

• Connect your USB drive to a different port. Alternatively, try to connect it to a different PC.
• Connect a different USB drive to your PC.
• Unplug your USB drive and restart your system. Afterwards, plug it in and see if it works. If the same issue occurs, perform a complete shutdown and wait for a few minutes before turning it on again.
  
• Update your drivers.

If you find that the USB drive still doesn't work even after performing all these suggestions, this is most likely pointing to a hardware issue. Thus, it would be best to get in touch with your device manufacturer for a thorough check of the device.
