    My Windows 10 was initially installed in Russian and I've been using it for almost 2 years after what I decided to change the display language to English. After changing it to English the entire system changed into English. OneDrive folders didn't change: Desktop, Pictures, Documents folders, once entering OneDrive, and these folders directory, are all displayed in English

    This is not just annoying me, this is, for instance, not letting me store installers on the desktop as they don't wanna work if the path to them has any Cyrillic letters. In the screenshots, you can see the Desktop folder only but this happens to every folder which is in OneDrive directory. I don't know what to do with it.

    The same thing occurs in the welcome screen: once the PC is on after complete shutdown Windows Hello function talks with me in Russian so as other unlock things but this happens only if PC is being unlocked the first time it's powered on; if unlocked after the first unlock the whole lock screen interface is in English.

    Notice: I want to keep the Russian language in my system but every system element to display in English especially the folders.

    My computer language is English and all folder names are English, but Desktop folder is shown as 'Masaustu' in Turkish language. How can I change the 'Masaustu' folder name to 'Desktop'?

    Got it. Here are the steps on how to rename the folder's name from Escritorio to Desktop:

    • Press Windows + E keys on the keyboard to open File explorer.
    • Click on This pc on the left navigation pane.
    • Open the drive where Windows 10 is installed. For example, open C:/ drive if the Windows 10 is installed in c drive
    • Click on Users and select user name.
    • Right click on Escritorio folder and click on Rename and change to Desktop.

    I understand that you are facing issues with changing the folder name under Users folder in Windows 10.

    I suggest you to perform the below steps and check if it helps.

    1. Open the File Explorer and double click on C drive.

    2. Open Users folder from the list.

    3. Click on the user name folder and then tap on F2 Key.

    4. Change the name of the folder and hit on Enter Key.

    5. It will ask for Administrator Permission and click on Ok.

    6. Folder name will be changed.
