Windows 10: Desktop: no icons, no functions

Hello!I have been searching for several hours now, trying to figure this out and I am not sure what my options are. I have an hp all-in-one desktop, about two years old, and it's running Windows 10. About a week ago, I noticed Windows update waiting to be performed. I think it automatically updated, and when I tried to log into my desktop, I wasn't able to log in. I was able to shut down the computer a couple of times, and finally the log in screen came back. When I finally was able to get to the desktop, all my icons were gone. I'm unable to right click, use the windows key, or use any

Remove Linux Desktop Icons

I am not sure whether this will work (Ubuntu does not have icons like that on the desktop by default), but I suggest opening the trash bin and sweeping the icons into the window showing the trash bin.

 

Desktop Icons Won't Stay Put

As per the issue description I understand that you are facing issues with desktop icons.

I suggest you try the following step in order to arrange the icons.

• Right click on the desktop.
• Click on view
• Check the option auto arrange icons.
