Windows 10: Desktop notification for Gmail

Hi,

I recently reset my computer and when I did it changed a few things on me, so I'm trying to get it back to normal. The only thing that I can't figure out is my desktop notification for Gmail. I have the setting checked in Gmail, but I still don't get the desktop notifications like I used to a few weeks ago. I have tried a few things but still can't get it. I have Windows 10. I'm sure it's something simple, but I can't figure it out. I hope you can help me. Thanks.

Yeah, thats not a solution she is interested in......I've suggested that course of action. Thanks though.

Just to clarify, I feel that there MUST be a step, or series of steps to turn off JUST the wireless notification sound. Thats what Im driving @ here.

 

How do you remove gmail notifications from Windows 10 sidebar?

A week ago, I experimented with Windows 10 Pro notifying me on the sidebar on my desktop when a gmail arrives. It was driving me crazy, so I removed my gmail account from Windows Notifications. But I'm still receiving notifications in spite of my email
account not appearing on the list of accounts tied to Windows 10 Notifications.

Have I left out some steps to stopping these notifications?

Gmail: How to get more than just the first email notification with new Windows 10 desktop notifications?

I feel this might just be a bug in the new Windows 10 desktop notifications for Gmail in Chrome, but in case there's a fix someone else knows about I thought I'd post here first. Previously I used Chrome Gmail desktop notifications. I don't know how they worked, as this functionality has now been removed and replaced with Windows 10 notifications. The old desktop notification appeared just above my system tray every time a new email came in.

With the new Windows 10 desktop notifications, I only receive a notification for the first email, and no subsequent emails, even if those emails come in 5 or 10 minutes later. Clearing the gmail notification from my windows notification center seems to allow the next email to correctly give me a notification, but then I get back into the same state where the following emails will not give notifications.

Is there a setting that will allow me to be notified of all emails as they come in?

I know there is nothing wrong with my Windows 10 notification center because all slack messages correctly appear, even if I never interact with slack or the notification center. Each new message will correctly make a new notification. I would like Gmail to behave this way.

This change in gmail happened about a month ago when I switched to the new Gmail interface, I believe.

If there isn't a fix for this, does anyone have a link to an existing bug report for this?
