Hello, I installed a SEB browser on my Windows 10 laptop in preparation for a test. However, since the power button remained locked after uninstalling SEB, I was unable to reach it. "There are no power options available" appears when I click the power button. I haven't turned off my laptop in a very long time as a result. I always set it to sleep. After an update yesterday, the touchpad on my laptop stopped working. I then proceeded to use alt + f4 to restart my PC. Upon pressing alt + f4, all of the desktop icons vanished. My desktop is not responding, and task management also doesn't wo

another easy way to kill tasks, download and install Winaero Tweaker(free) and theres a setting to add a Kill non responding tasks using the desktop right click menu. When you place your cursor on the desktop anywhere and right click the option is at the top of the list, Very handy and you dont have to go through all those steps and well Winaero Tweaker has alot of cool Windows tweaks. Just posting a different suggestion, Im sure your ok with what was suggested here.

 

Task Bar, Task manager and apps, all not responding, Windows 10

step 1 worked a dream. Had earlier tried everything suggested in these forums. nothing had worked to solve the problem. The media creation tool as suggested in step 1 did the trick. - it took several hours, but worth it.

ps. original complaint - non responding - and task manager - blank or useless.

 

Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection "Not Responding" but cannot be killed

I launched a Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection (RDC) to a remote server. The screen suddenly got frozen while connecting; the title bar indicates (Not Responding).

I opened another window of RDC and it worked.

My problem is that I cannot close the first window that got frozen. I have Windows 10. I tried

• Close the Window. It shows a window with "The application is not responding... Do you want to end this process?". Clicking on button End Process does not do much
  
• Task Manager > End Task
  
• Task Manager > Details > mstsc.exe > end Task
  

No matter what I tried, the frozen window is still here.

Any suggestion except a Logout or a reboot?
