    No List of Desktop Programs After Refresh/Reset

    I just reset/refreshed windows 11 and chose the option to keep my files.

    The dialog said that all my desktop applications would have to be reinstalled but that a list of them would be on my desktop when the refresh completed.

    Now the refresh has completed and the list of desktop programs is not on the desktop.

    This is an unresolved issue from ages ago.

    Hey Friend, this is Gavin Mathos here & using Windows 11 Version: 22H2 OS (OS Build: 22621.2506).

    Today I received Windows 11 Version: 22H2 OS Update I.e. "2023-10 Cumulative Update Preview for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5031455)".

    After sucessfully Downloading-Installing the Windows 11 Version: 22H2 OS Update update, in Desktop Sceen when you Right Click - "Refresh" option not working {As attached Screenshot}. Hence when I click on "Refresh" option, then Icon's don't shake. Why so???

    What can be the reason behind this??? How can I get the issue of "Refresh" option get resolved. Please check & let me know.

    Hello gallicbear, Desktop Refresh option not working in Windows 11 :)

    The tutorial below can help show you how to "refresh" Windows 10. Both "reset" and "refresh" is done through the "reset" option. The difference is that when you select "Keep my files" at step 4 below, it will do a "refresh".
