    Hi,I have a PC and a Laptop, my PC has two monitors: main 27' WQHD 2K and the second one a 25' QHD, but since a few days ago, all my applications suddenly stopped fitting my monitors. They more resemble the 14' Laptop i have. My quickest way of realizing was Youtube, since my Laptop always showed 3 thumbnails and my main monitor showed 6, but now it also shows only 3 and even if i zoom out it still only shows 3 but makes them smaller, like trying to fit a smaller monitor. Another is, that i have a 3080ti GPU, but my games are capped at 60 FPS, but only after finishing loading. Basically, w

  2. Screen does not fit to desktop

    Hi,

    Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Community. Let me assist you.

    Provide us with the below details for better clarity on the issue.

    • Did you make any changes to the pc prior to this issue?
    • Does this issue occur on a local account or the Microsoft user Account?
    Please Sign out from the current user account, restart the pc and login to the administrator account to check if that helps. Also ensure to install any pending updates on the pc to keep the system up to date.

    If the issue persists, I suggest you check the screen resolution set on the computer. To set resolution follow the below steps:-

    • Press “Windows Key + X” and select Control Panel.
    • Go to Display.
    • Click on Screen Resolution.
    • Try using a different resolution and check if it fits your desktop.
    • Save the changes and restart the system.

    If you still face the issue, you can try updating your display drivers from Device Manager and check if it helps.

    Refer the below steps to update the driver.

    • Press “Windows + X” and select Device Manager.
    • Select Display Adapter and expand the driver icon.
    • Right click on the driver icon and click on Update.
    • Follow the onscreen instructions to update the driver.
    • Restart the computer and check if the issue is resolved.

  3. Laptop Screen Resolution Windows 10

    Hi,

    We suggest you to update the Display Adapter Drivers.

    Step 1: Update the Display Adapter driver.

    • Press Windows key + X key when you are at desktop.
    • Select Device Manager.
    • Expand Display Adapter.
    • Right on the Display Adapter and click on Update driver software.

    Step 2: Kindly follow the below steps to change the resolution of the screen and check:


    • Type Change screen resolution in the Search box from the desktop.

    • Under Resolution search for the Recommended resolution and click on Apply.

    • A windows pops up saying "Keep these display settings", then select Keep changes.


    There will be a recommended resolution for all the computers, and if you select more than the recommended resolution the screen would not support for that.
