  2. Windows 10. 12 to 24 hours

    Hi Sandra,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

To change the time format from 12 hour to 24 hour in Windows 10.

    Follow the steps:

    • Navigate to Control panel.
    • In the category view of the control panel, click on the
‘Change date, time, or number formats’.
    • Change the short time to HH:mm from the drop down.
    • Press Apply to make the changes.
    • Now your time format will change to 24 hour format.
Hope this helps, let us know if you need further assistance.

  3. My desktop has been updating Windows 10 for over 24 hours.

My desktop has been updating Windows 10 for over 24 hours.

The screen is black with just the white circling dots spinning around in a circle.

I can't get the screen to come up.

Last screen I saw was orange and it was slowly updating. Was at 11% last night.

I am hesitant to turn it off and reboot. Should it take this long?

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks.

Desktop turns on by itself 24 hours after last use

Custom build PC turns itself on after 24 hours of being off

It booted up 24 hours after I turned it off yesterday. Unfortunately when it got to my desktop, there was just a black screen with a movable mouse pointer and I was not able to use the keyboard to make anything come on the screen. I shut it down using
the power button on my case and will try again in another 24 hours.
