I have no idea why it happens. I go idle for like 5-15 minutes and when I come back this monstrosity happens. And it's not like it only happens when I'm idle: sometimes it peaks 300MB or even 500MB while I'm using my computer. It's caused too much instability and it's not easy to make it go away: I either wait hours for it to normalize or I restart my laptop. It's never happened to me before I've never even seen this program before, and I don't know what might be causing it, as I don't personalize my computer that much.

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

Hey genesis what hardware have you bought, you might be able to save on the ram and step up the rest of the hardware a little...

Or you could go out on the town as suggested... *Big Grin Desktop Window Manager devouring RAM :D
