    Desktop Window Manager DWM continously ramps up memory consumption.


    This issue has been bugging me for a while now, on Idle DWM uses <30 memory which is normal to me, but after like an hour, it goes up to 50> then after a few hours 200> then eventually peaks at 900> before you ask, yes, I did update drivers, malware scan, sfc/ scannow, changed appearance to performance, closed apps. I own Inspiron 14-3467 12gbI5-7200uR5-M430

    Desktop window manager (dwm) high memory usage

    Since I have upgraded to windows 11 I have been facing an issue with desktop window manager (dwm). It uses so much memory and the laptop heats up. How to fix this problem?

    These applications not are compute-intensive, compared to
    CPU speed. "The problem" is the memory leak of DWM.

    As soon as I could observe a high memory consumption by DWM, I started windows performance tool kit and run the diagnose. Then I switch to the game and
    continued playing for a few seconds
    until stop the diagnosis.

    Desktop Windows Manager(DWM) consuming more ram usage

    Hey, i have tried all the troubleshooting steps suggested by you to toubleshoot DWM ram usage issue, but still the problem persist and I just close the DWM in task manager, but this is not permant solution I found, because I need to perform same task for every start. Is there any permant solution to this problem apart from the above ?
