    Desktop window manager dwm.exe way too much CPU usage!


    I don't really have the best CPU but I do have a pretty decent GPU and so I decided to get a second monitor just for productivity. After closer inspection, I realized that I cant actually use both of them at the same time as my second monitor only supports VGA and my GPU doesn't. So what I did was hook it up to my motherboard IO which does have VGA output. To make this work I had to enable iGPU Multi-Monitor in my BIOS which makes use of my onboard GPU to render the second monitor I believe Intel HD graphics.The problem is that when I try to run games, my CPU is crazily bottlenecked because

    Desktop Window Manager High GPU Usage in Windows 10

    Hey everyone,

    i got the same Problem since two days. My PC configuration is a Gigabyte 2070 Super 8GB and a Ryzen 7 3700X and ive got every update from Windows and Geforce experience. I am wondering why Windows doesnt said anything to this Problem after seeing this thread
    being 20 Pages Long. Does anybody tried These Solutions

    First i thought the cause is Google Chrome because it made high gpu and Volt usage too but after an uninstall the Problem was still there.

    Is there any Suggestion how to solve the Problem. If this link is working please tell me.

    I do not have laptop but i had dwm usage in desktop about 10-30% by putting to prepare maximum performance(for all at 3d managment even for dwm) it fixes to max 5%

    But in games like apex , csgo what i have tested it takes for apex 5% and csgo and other usage is for the game

    But in modern warfare it uses 36% while the game uses only in cpu so i guess its the game issue try apex and csgo and reply! Desktop window manager dwm.exe way too much CPU usage! :) but it seems thats your game uses cpu graphics engine and dwm uses your gpu
