How to fix High RAM usage by Desktop Windows Manager -- Windows 11

I am consistently having a very high RAM usage by DWM in Win 11. Today it is using more than 5,000MB memory. My drivers are up to date, and fully scanned yesterday. So please advise what I can do.

Also, How to search a problem and get meaningful results in this Community? If search Desktop Windows Manager High RAM Windows 11, I see results for Windows Vista.

Hello there,
While I was Gaming I noticed that my fps was below 150 (which never happens) I got a bit tensed thinking there might be a issue with the hardware , but later when I noticed at the task manager ,DESKTOP WINDOW MANAGER had a very high memory usage. I tried scanning for malware but did not find any and did the basic steps like checking weather its because of any app or not and unfortunately dint find anything that's causing this. Is there any fix this? the laptop which I currently have is of 16 GB ram but the performance is significantly slowing down and this is the only reason for this. I really want to fix this please Help me!

I am sorry to hear about the inconvenience. I suggest updating your version of windows if there are any pending updates that need to be installed.

1) Click search, type windows updates.

2) Select the link for check for updates.

3) Install any pending updates.

4) Check if the issue still persists.
