  1. “Desktop Windows Manager” and “Game DVR and broadcasting” using all of my GPU

I recently just built a gaming pc using some parts from the pre-built I was using before (HP pavilion 790-0021) and now whenever I play games the programs Desktop Windows Manager and Game DVR and Broadcasting are using so much of my gpu I can only get about 7 FPS on medium settings in Fortnite and it makes Minecraft stutter and have lower frames too. The parts I used from my pre-built were the CPU (i5-8400), GPU (GTX 1060 3G), Ram (8G 2666 frequency), m.2 drive (I forgot), and the hard drive (WD 1TB) The new parts I added were a Corsair CV650, ASUS TUF Z390-plus (WiFi), and the Corsair carbide spec delta RGB. I want to know how I can lower the GPU usage on these programs so I can play games well. I don’t know if it’s a problem with the parts or with Windows 10 but I just want to play some games.

  2. Game DVR

Sometimes, a recording doesn't end correctly. When that happens, you'll need to restart Game DVR to fix the problem. Here are the steps:

    • Close the game.
    • In the search box on the Windows taskbar, enter Task manager, and then select that desktop app.
    • In Task Manager, select More details.
    • In the list of running processes, select the Broadcast DVR server (bcastdvr.exe) process (if it's still there), and then select
      End task.
    • Restart the game and try recording again.

  3. Game DVR only recorded one or twice, how do I fix it?

I have been to the following link and checked all the following steps:

    Xbox Support

Sometimes, a recording doesn't end correctly. When that happens, you'll need to restart Game DVR to fix the problem:

    • Close the game.

But there's a problem. The steps never state what to do if I can't find the Broadcast DVR Server. I need help. Please respond asap! Thank you! <3

    Game DVR

    Hi Dalton,

You do have another option to disable the Game DVR in the Xbox app on your Windows 10 device. Kindly perform the following steps:

    • On the Search bar, type Settings and press Enter.
    • Select Gaming.
    • Select Game bar.
    • Under Record game clips, screenshots, and broadcast using Game bar, toggle it to
      Off.
    • Restart your device for the changes to take effect.

Don't forget to let us know how it goes.
