Windows 10: Desktop Windows Manager keeps getting bigger the memory after turn on laptop.

Hello Everyone.As you can see from the title of the question, my dwm.exe takes more and more RAM.Its initial value is only 45 MB approximately but going further more it is getting bigger and bigger to over than 800 MB.It is really annoys me and Hope your kind answers. I've tired almost all the solutions on this community and the others but couldn't solve this issue. My environment : Graphic Card : Intel HD 620Render : Nvidia Geforce 930 MXWin 10 theme : Default Light theme.Screen Saver : disabledAdjust Performance Options : Blank.Driver: Up to DateAnd also, I tried performance check and alm

Is there a difference between laptop memory sticks and desktop memory

As mentioned by SIW2, desktop PCs typically use full-size DIMMs (dual inline memory modules). laptops normally use SODIMMs (small outline DIMMs). They are entirely diffent physically, and not interchangeable, even though functionally they are the same. I have no idea what "Bree" was thinking.

Is your "workstation" the laptop listed in My Computer (Dell M6800)? If so, the largest SODIMMs it supports are 8GB. With 4 memory slots, the maximum RAM in the machine would be 32 GB. (That's with an I7-4940MX CPU. With a lesser CPU, only 2 of the SODIMM sockets would be usable, for a maximum of 16 GB.)

The suggestion to go to Crucial or Kingston online is good. They both guarantee that RAM they sell for a given PC will be compatible.

 

I keep getting the blue screen with Memory Management error, anywhere from once to many times a day.

I have upgraded to Windows 10 on my Toshiba laptop and my HP desktop computers. The laptop had Windows 7 and the desktop had Windows 8 prior to the upgrade. The laptop runs fine with the upgrade, no error messages. However, with the desktop computer,
I keep getting the blue screen with Memory Management error, anywhere from once to many times a day. I contacted y'all a few months ago about this issue and one of your techs reinstalled Windows 10, but I am still getting the same Memory Management error.
I need to get this issue resolved and quickly. I really like Windows 10, but I am getting tired of having to keep redoing my work over and over again. Please help!!! Please don't tell me that i am going to have to purchase this upgrade.

Please mention what do you mean by everything is getting bigger at desktop? Are you referring to desktop icons?

Follow the methods provided below and check if it helps.

Method 1: If you find the desktop icons big, you may follow the below steps to reduce the size of icons and check.
