Windows 10: detected an overrun of a stack-based buffer in this application

So today when I was opening my windows settings to check updates a box popped up with a message

"the system detected an overrun of a stack-based buffer in this application. this overrun could potentially allow a malicious user to gain control of this application"


Actually I was checking for my updates because sometimes my laptop runs really slow when there is an update downloading is running at the back

So while I was checking I just clicked on the check update icon and the above message popped up


Is there anything to worry about

Am I going to lose all my data ?


And I almost write about some or the other problem to u after every 2-3 months


And I bought this laptop in August 2018


And I am so disappointed with the performance that I feel that I should have gone for apple because I was getting it for the same amount I should have gone for that

On a Windows 10 desktop today there was this error message...

“The system detected an overrun of a stack-based buffer in this application. This overrun could potentially allow a malicious user to gain control of this application“

Any suggestion as to what the problem is and how to rectify the problem?
