Windows 10: Device ACPI\808622A8\1 requires further installation.

My 2 in 1 Medion Akoya E2218T is fully up to date with Windows 102004 update, but the sound device is not working, it shows a red cross on the taskbar and a text indicating that no audio device is installed.

On device manager the deviceIntel SST audioWDM shows up as "Working properly", I have tried to update the driver manually or by uninstalling the device, to no avail.

By checking the events the only strange mentions I see are: "Device ACPI\808622A8\1 was not migrated due to partial or ambiguous match" and logically? "Device ACPI\808622A8\1 requires further installation".

Looking in Sound settings, no device is available, an external speaker connected via jack is not presented either.

Bluetooth speakers do work, luckily.

Help would be appreciated.

When I view videos, the sound randomly fluctuates between loud and soft for no apparent reason. Researching this issue is when I discovered in the Intel SST audio device device properties' event information tab the statement " Device ACPI\808622A8\1 requires
further installation"

We have duplicated the issue on our end and got the same event log. The event log "Device ACPI\808622A8\1 requires further installation" shows due to the driver not been installed yet. You can check the events Timestamp and Description. With your verification
on the device status, "This device is working properly," it means the driver has no issue.

Since the sound randomly fluctuates, you can visit this thread
with a similar concern as yours and check the answer of JonDiscus.
