  1. Device Association Services uses up all cores and threads during start up

My PC continues to have problems with Device Association Service, on Windows 10. For almost a year now, I've been having this problem where DAS starts up, after the PC has been sleeping, and it starts to take up 100% of the processor resources. It takes up 100% of processor time on each and every core and thread on the processor. I have a Ryzen 5 8500G with 6 cores/12 threads now. I used to have a much less powerful system before, with 8 cores/8 threads, and that too was being flooded by DAS. Now, I usually keep Resource Monitor open in Windows at the time, and I can usually go into that and k

  2. Device Association Service using of 100% of 8-core system after exiting sleep mode?

After waking from sleep mode, my system is almost entirely unusable for about a minute because all cores (8-core AMD FX system) are pegged at 100% utilization. Looked through Task Manager and Resource Monitor and the offending process is the Device Association Service. Interestingly, they say that this is only using 25% of the avg CPU, but yet all of the cores are showing 100% busy, and there is nothing else running that's taking anywhere near as high as 25%. This did not used to happen when the system was running Windows 7 or earlier, of course.

Windows 7 used to be able to tell what devices were connected to the machine without having to rescan the whole system everytime it woke up. Is there a way to get DAS to be a little less thorough and intrusive?

Overclocking / Undervolting guide for Vega 56 or 64?

    Here's a quick laundry list:

List of software to use for overclocking and testing
    Examples:
Wattman (and how to find and use it, like an overview, including profiles)
Unigine Valley or Heaven (use this for quick testing while changing settings in Wattman and checking for stability / artifacts) ...just suggesting this
How to monitor cores / mem speeds and temps during testing (I've seen screen overlays, and others using GPUz)

    Step-by step overclocking in Wattman
    Fan speeds
    Power limit
    Temp limit
    Voltages
    Core speeds
    Memory speeds
