Device attempts to connect to all UNKNOWN and KNOWN networks within range via "connect...

First off, this is NOT an issue with KNOWN NETWORKS. I have looked and looked on the community and every time someone asks this question advice is given for known networks.

The "connect automatically" box remains checked for every network in range whether it is a KNOWN OR UNKNOWN network.

This is keeping my device from automatically connecting to the known network I want to connect to as it attempts to connect to every other UNKNOWN NETWORK within range.

I can manually un-check every single box from the "view available networks" panel, close the panel, then reopen it just to find that every box is checked again.

I have un-installed my wireless device drivers and reinstalled them, I have completely reset all my network connection settings.

I have completely cleared all known networks yet still the issue persists.

I am running windows 10 on a Toshiba however this issue seems to impact all machines

    Thanks

    :)

  2. Losing network connection

Hello Dear, if you have a laptop or a PC with a wireless network adapter, you can see a list of available wireless networks and then connect to one of those networks. The wireless networks will only appear if your PC has a wireless network adapter installed, the adapter is turned on, and the wireless access point is in range.

    1. Click Start, click Control Panel, click Network and Internet Connections, and then click Network Connections.

    2. In the left pane, under Network Tasks, click View available wireless networks.
In case, If you don't see the network you want to connect to, click Refresh network list. If you see the network but the signal is weak, move the PC closer to the wireless router.

    3. Click the network you want to connect to, and then click Connect.

    4. If you're connecting to a secure network, type the security key, and then click OK.

I Hope you solve out your query soon.

  3. Unknown devices connected to my pc

It is found under network connection, listed as unknown devices connected to my pc. After changing password to FiOS G1100 and also name of network connection I still found an unknown phone and a tablet showing under unknown devices connected to my pc.

Found by looking in "my pc", then "network".

  4. Device attempts to connect to all UNKNOWN and KNOWN networks within range via "connect...

Network devices listed under Unknown in Device Manager

I have a Dell Inspiron M731R laptop upgraded from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 Home 64-Bit that suddenly quit connecting to the home network. Was using wireless, so switched to an Ethernet cable, but still no luck. I just discovered that ALL of the network-related devices are now listed under an "Unknown" tab in the Device Manager. A check of properties of each item in that folder says they are all working properly, but that obviously isn't the case. I tried uninstalling each of the 4 items, but when they are recognized again they still show up under the Unknown tab. Any suggestions would be welcome.
