Windows 10: Device connected but mobile hotspot says no internet

I came across a problem earlier this week when my laptop TUF Gaming F15, working on windows 11 was connected to internet via Ethernet cable, but when the internet went out once and now my mobile hotspot on my laptop is permanently at "disconnecting" stage. When i went to the settings it says it doesn't detect Internet that my laptop is clearly connected to. When i put it on from settings it says its loading but refreshing the page says it's off.Is it a bug or do i need to factory reset my laptop?

Internet is not connected in Mobile Hotspot

We can try the following ways to troubleshoot the issue:

2. Is there some settings like "Allow all Users" when creating hotspot, if so we can try to enable it, then all devices are able to pick up hotspot connection.
   
3. All the devices or only one android device cannot connect the network name of this hotspot? If all the devices can not connect to this hotspot, it may be a problem with creating or sharing hotspots, if only one android device can not connect this hotspot, it may be the settings problem with this android device.
   
4. Is there a device that can find the network name of this hotspot?
   
5. If a device discovers this hotspot, when we want to connect to this hotspot, is there a prompt to verify the network name and password?
   
6. If the android device can connect other wifi or other hotspots, it may be settings problem with this android device.
   
7. We can try to add a hotspot network manually in the android devices, then we view if it can connect the mobile hotspot.
   

 

How to Disable mobile hotspot SSID

Hello Jimbo,

To better assist you, please follow the steps on how to turn off mobile hotspot on your Windows 10 device:

• Open Settings, click Network & Internet icon
• Click / tap on Mobile Hotspot on the left side, and turn off Share your Internet connection with other devices.
  
• Any devices currently connected to your mobile hotspot will lose connection.

Mobile Hotspot - No Internet Connection

Hi Charlie,

I tried the first two methods the link recommended.

In the case of the first method, I couldn't get past step 1.8 (Selecting 802.11 or whatever) as there wasn't any item on the list that had anything near that name.

The second way didn't work either. I followed all the given steps up until step 2.8, at which point the drop down menu I had had no "WLAN" option. The "Wifi" option resulted in the issue not being corrected at all (my phone still says there's no internet
connection) and selecting "Ethernet" resulted in the computer telling me there was no way to set up a mobile hotspot at all as I wasn't connected to Wifi or Ethernet.
