Windows 10: Device encryption says I need a Microsoft account, but I'm already using one??

As per the title, I just checked my Device encryption setting under Windows Settings >> Update & Security >> Device encryption. I get the following message:

You need a Microsoft account to finish encrypting this device. Sign in with a Microsoft account instead

I am signed in with a Microsoft account though. The You need a Microsoft account to finish encrypting this device is not a link and when I click Sign in with a Microsoft account instead it takes me to Home >> Accounts >> Your info which shows my Microsoft account with my profile image and email address. I can click Manage my Microsoft account and it takes me to the web to my account. So I am already on a Microsoft account.

Any ideas what's going on here? When I do a search all I get are topics about people not wanting to create a Microsoft account. I have one and I'm signed in. I can't find much on this topic other than that.

For the record, I am running Windows 10 Home.

Device Encryption not avaiable

Encryption

Hello Miriam,

For us to be able to isolate your concern why your devices page says it is not encrypted when you've turn on encryption, kindly answer these questions:

• Does this happen before you encrypt the device?
• Which Windows version currently running on your device?
• What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?

We will be waiting for update.

 

Cannot sign in microsoft account.

My device: Lumia 520. GDR2.
I cannot sign in my Microsoft account on my device. It didnt say any error but Microsoft account is not listed in Email and account list. When I click add button, it will show microsoft account option but after press sign in, it is still not shown in email
and account. Another problem is i cannot delete facebook account. Error code: 0x83cf1202. I have tried as suggested here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2475837/en-us#step0x83cf1202 but as my Microsoft account is not shown, I cannot do step 6.

Any suggestion?
