Windows 10: Device from "Download Dashboard" on Amazon Software Library cannot be removed because of...

I have been having a crisis with Amazon. I am trying to delete a device from the download dashboard of the software section of Amazon, but I am not able to because of a text that says "Upgrade Required" and because of that, the listed device has been grayed out. I contacted support, and they told me to uninstall and reinstall the software downloads application, but that only creates a new name that you can delete. I contacted support last night, and the person said that he was going to delete the undeletable device from the dashboard and that should take 1-2 hours. 2 hours later, the grayed out device and text is still there. What can I do? I’m stressing out about this and I want to see if anyone out there is have the same problem, and how to solve it.

Amazon assistant - can't remove

It was actually a lot easier than any of the suggested posts here.

I figure what we want to do is re-run the install program, so

I simply googled "Download Amazon Assistant" and it took me to Amazon's download page.

Click on Download and let the installer run. When it does, it'll detect you already have Amazon Assistant installed and it'll ask you to Change or Remove. Click Remove and also Ignore when it warns you that the program is running.

That's it.
