Windows 10: Device is not ready issue 0x80070015 & explorer.exe

Good Afternoon,

I'm getting a message "device is not ready". My computer has had these issues for over a year. I'm currently running Windows 10 but my files under the Control Panel are Windows 7. I'm unable to click on the my start menu, my audio isn't working and the internet will not turn on. I'm unable to download any software. I'm not able to turn on the Windows Defender Firewall. I've tried to uninstall my Norton anti-virus but it is not allowing me & I've also tried to upgrade it but I'm unable to download the software. In addition, I'm not able to receive Microsoft Updates. In addition, I've tried to use cmd and Powershell as Admin and I'm receiving acess denied. Since I'm unable to access my start menu I'm unable to run as administrator. Also, I'm unable to access the Services file under the Administrator tools--error received "the device is not ready". I've also received this error "explorer.exe class not registered" when clicking on Microsoft Edge.


My computer ran a hard drive scan and fixed errors. Maintenance is currently showing no issues.


I am able to access my documents and pictures. But Microsoft Products Word, Excel not loading.


I did backup my computer last year using an external hard drive WD Passport 1TB but I have recently plugged that into to the USB port and I was able to access the files.


If you can provide any assistance that would be great.

drive not ready Error code 0x80070015

I have cloned my windows 10 system onto an SSD but now I cant create a system restore point - drive not ready Error code 0x80070015

have not deleted the old C drive version just in case

 

Windows Sandbox fails to start with Error 0x80070015: The device is not ready

I have two machines on which I have installed production release 1903, Windows Sandbox runs on one, but on the other I get Error 0x80070015: The device is not ready. I have searched through the event log and can't find any events that appear to be related.
I'm not even sure where to start.

I've read some articles from the pre-release that indicated that they found log entries somewhere, but found no details on where else to look. I looked through all the Hyper-V log groups I could find with no luck.

Help?
