Hello,Im looking to make some changes to my devices password policy. But when i try and make changes to the anything under the password & account lockout policy, all the fields arent editable.Ive looked to see if the same issue is prevalent on other users, but i found thats theirs worked just fine.

    Local Security Policy

Hi Andy. I'm Greg, 10 years awarded Windows MVP, specializing in Installation, Performance, Troubleshooting and Activation, here to help you.

WIndows Pro already includes all the basic Security settings needed to protect a consumer user. Group Policy is only needed to lock down certain settings in an organization so users cannot change them. It's not needed by a consumer at all, unless you have something specific you want to change and the fixes show how to change it via Group Policy.

If you still want to explore setting Security Policy, here is a Microsoft Document which explains it:

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/securi...

Feel free to ask back any questions. Please report back results for all steps given so I know what else to suggest if necessary.
