Windows 10: Device manager and Excel

Hi.

After a recent update i went to use some excel spreadsheets that i have been working on. But they kept auto scrolling to the right without stopping.

It's not a scroll lock issue as it does this whether scroll lock is on or off.

I thought then it must be an input device issue and sure enough when i go to device manager it has two instances of my mouse - which is a USB. And 5 instances of the keyboard - also USB on the manager.

Ok, this clears the problem and stops the spreadsheet scrolling. Problem solved?

No, as a little while later it has the exact same issue, excel scrolling and multiple lines of the same HID device under the mouse and keyboard in the device manager.

Anybody else have this issue or know how to stop it. It was fine yesterday.

No hardware listed in Device manager?

I don't konw whathappend but in Device manager and in my Network connections there is nothing where there used to be a Modem listed and all my hardware in Device Manager. What happend and how do I fix this?

 

Imaging Devices missing in Device Manager and Webcam doesn't working

Hi,

Since you mentioned that the said driver is missing in Device Manager, what we suggest is for you to check in the Hidden Devices section on Device Manager. Kindly follow the steps below:

• On the desktop, press Windows key + X and select
  Device Manager.
• Click on View and select
  Show Hidden Devices.
• Check for the webcam under Imaging Devices.
• If the webcam is listed, then right-click on it and select
  Update Driver Software
• Select Browse My Computer for Driver Software and follow the prompted steps.

No Sound Device found on new PC

If there is no driver installed on a detected device --- then there would be an item in the device manager with a yellow exclamation.
