Windows 10: Device Manager - Drivers for U&P WAZ-DC1 USB DVD-RW

Device Manager - DriversMy newly purchased USB3neither 2.0 connected U&P WAZ-DC1 DVD-RW USB 3.0 powers up when connected but nothing happens and when I check in DM I find the DVD/CD-ROM category does not appear in my device manager.Also when device reads the CD-R disk, it startspowers up, but Windows 10 doesn't show any plugged in cd/dvd disk.Also when device was plugged in for the first time, it didn't show in device manager's tree. Googling for device or manufacturer website wasn

windows 10 and USB dvd/rw not recognized

I am trying to connect an external DVD/RW to a HP Stream laptop running windows 10 and when i plug the device into the USB port the following message appears "USB device not recognized". I tried the device on an older laptop that is running Windows Vista
and the device works fine on it. The device manager doesn't show a DVD/Cd in the list of devices. The device did not come with a driver and so far I have not been able to locate a driver, the manufacturer site only has a link to a site that requires payment
to solve the problem and they want more than the device costs. Any suggestion on how to get Win10 to recognize and install the device?

This circumstance can occur if the device hardware fails or if the device driver fails.



I suggest you to uninstall the Universal Serial Bus Controller
associated with the external DVD/RW (Cnm) and reinstall it from the manufacturer’s website and check if it helps.



To uninstall the drivers from device manager follow the steps below:

• Press Windows key + X and click on
  Device Manager.
• Expand Universal Serial Bus Controller.
• Find the Cnm DVD/RW drive.
• Right click on the driver and select Uninstall.

DVD rw driver

I installed DVDRW drive in hp probook that didn't have one a refurbished laptop. So it didn't come with drivers for the DVD rw CD drive player. Windows restart driver finder so on can't open it get it to work there's no dvdrw CD drive listed anywhere in
Windows pc my computer this pc so on I know the system. At HP support it scanned for drivers showed I need DVD CD driver download charge is 9.95. Will this start the DVD rw drive even though the download is for a DVD CD drive. Should I do the download?
