    Device Manager: Error Code 10 for Intel(R) Trusted Execution Engine Interface

    Recently, I did a reset of Windows 10 Home. I had some issues with activation and the device drivers. Now the Intel(R) Trusted Execution Engine Interface is throwing Code 10 that says STATUS_DEVICE_POWER_FAILURE.

    Below is the screenshot. Can someone explain to me how I can fix this?

    This is my Acer Aspire XC-603G Desktop PC. It originally came with Windows 8.1, but was upgradable to Windows 10 Home.

    I will provide the specs as soon as I find them out.

    Intel trusted execution machine says this platform is not supported on updating

    I also have had problems with the Intel Trusted Execution Engine Interface in regards to Windows 10. I was able to install Windows 10 no problem but when Windows installs the device driver for this component, the Trusted Execution Engine Interface shows
    as having a problem in Device Manager. The error message is "The device can not start (code 10) STATUS_DEVICE_POWER_FAILURE". I uninstalled the device from Device Manager and downloaded a driver from Intel's website. The driver that I downloaded is for Windows
    8/8.1, however the driver does work. My question is why Windows Update installs a driver that causes an error message to appear for a device is required for a key component (in this case, Bitlocker) of Windows 10?

    Hi Jesse

    Go into your BIOS and turn off Secure Boot and see if that fixes the problem.......

    You might want to check with the Acer site and see if there is a new Chipset driver for your board......

    The Driver for this is listed on this site: Acer Drivers

    Thanks @kipper. I did however fix the problem temporarily by downgrading the driver. But I will check this out in the morning. Thanks for your help with getting my systems stable.

    @kipper, I rolled back the driver to an older version to fix the problem temporarily. But the latest BIOS update is a lot more complicated than the past BIOS update I have done what it says to do it through USB storage. I followed all directions for the BIOS update and it's not going through when using the USB stick.

    You do not need a 3rd party app. There is a setup file for the Bios with a Windows installer at the Acer web page, Product support which is where you should get all of your drivers except for Windows Update

    Spunk, I went there and the the BIOS update requires a USB drive. I have one and it's not letting me install it through the update.

    If you downloaded the first Bios download, and Extracted the file to you download location.
    There is a WIN folder, with a AFUWIN64.exe file that can be run from Windows.

    @spunk, I am downloading the latest version that is dated for 11/11/2015. It is Version P11.B4L. The vendor is Acer and the size is 3.1MB.

    If you extracted the Zip file contents, there are two yellow folders and a ReadMe and the Released notes. One of the Yellow folders is called ROM With the contents showing as in pic #2. The other yellow folder should be WIN
