Device Manager Freezes + Uknown drive F after uninstall

    Hi,

I did recently a clean W10 install and there are, of course, issues. My flight stick X52 Pro crashes the PC immediately when it is plugged in (BSOD) and I have no idea why. Saitek is a notoriously incapable of producing good drivers for their products, so even when I installed theirs drivers I got a BSOD. Saitek's uninstall guide for this specific product says I should remove all programmable support entries from the device manager. Which gets us to my problem: I can't remove two entries from programmable support in device manager (Programmable Hotkeys and Programmable Root Enumerator) because device manager freezes when uninstalling or disabling them. How can I uninstall them?!

I am also suspect of my Windows USB drivers. I installed my 3.0 driver from my motherboard manufacturer which, in theory, it should be fine, yet when I plug the X52 Pro in one of the normal USB ports it is not recognized by the windows.

Also, after the fresh installation a new drive F appeared in my explorer. It is empty, I can access it, but I have no idea why it is there. In disk management it is described as a 450MB NTFS drive (Healthy Primary Partition). What is that and how do I get rid of it?

Thanks in advance for any help.

    :)

  2. CD/DVD, E drive, & F drive not recognized after upgrading from windows 7 to windows 10.

After upgrading from windows 7 to windows 10 my CD/DVD Rom drive, E: Drive and F: Drive no longer are detected in Device Manager, even after selecting show hidden items. When I select "troubleshooting" my computer says everything is working properly. The
above drives are listed in the Bios, but are not recognized in Device Manager.

Any suggestions on how to get my computer working again?

    F Drive not visible

    Hi Norris,

Corrupted USB driver is one of the possible reasons why the Drive: F is not visible to your Windows 10. To provide you the appropriate resolution, we would like to know more information. Kindly answer the questions below:

    • Which version and build of Windows 10 is currently installed on your computer? To check, press and hold the
Windows key + R. In the RUN dialog, type
      winver
      and press Enter key.
    • Have you tried checking the Disk Management if the USB drive is listed there?
    • Have you tried checking the status of your USB device in Device Manager? To check, go to Device Manager and expand USB controllers and right-click to check the properties and device status.

    Looking forward to your response.

I don't know about those drivers, I have different model but you can safely remove letter for that partition. If it's after C:/ it's most probably restore partition. Just to be sure, can you post a picture of Disk management ?

Yes, F:/ is a restore partition and you can get rid of it's letter. I can also see a large, 46.58GB unallocated partition on second disk which you can put to good use because it's not used now.
