    Device Settings on Windows 10 need constant Internet Connection?


    Why is it necessary for Windows 10 to constantly be connected to the Internet to set up Bluetooth or other devices? Why can't the drivers be saved to the computer so that they are not constantly updated? Are they even constantly updated? Bandwidth on my Internet connection is limited, and the network is set up as a metered connection. Do I need to reconfigure the network for unmetered access EVERY time I want to connect to an existing device whose driver has already been installed and worked the last time my computer was turned on?It doesn't make any sense that I need to have an active Int

    Did you run the Windows 10 connection troubleshooter?

    Troubleshoot Internet connection problems

    Also, check in the "Device Manager" to see if the network adapter is ok.
    You may need to un-install it and then "Scan for new devices".

    This is published by HP; however, it gives some good info on troubleshooting with the device manager.

    Can Windows 10 maintain a constant time and date if a PC is not connected to the internet?

    I have a computer set up in a place without internet connection. Replacing the system's battery worked for a month but now the clock and date is significantly off again. Any suggestions for fixing this?
