Windows 10: Device slows down after battery drained out

I opened my laptop at night and fell asleep completely forgetting to turn it off. When I woke up, I plugged it in to the charger to charge the battery and noticed the performance is incredibly bad. I have a Legion 5i, which is quite a decent laptop. But I couldn't even use it to open a browser without it having FPS drop and slow start up after that.

even mine has a slow battery drain, using Win 8.1. Even when powered off, not in sleep or hibernate, but off. It still uses the battery to keep the clock going.
Turn off fast start, as suggested, hibernate over sleep as it uses less power, and if you aren't going to use it for several hours, shut it off.

Swap batteries over. If the one in the fast draining phone works ok in the slow one then the fast draining one is faulty or you've left it doing wifi scanning, email checking or something else. If not, then you need a new battery. 4 hours is fast. That would
suggest a constant connection to something or a duff battery.
