Windows 10: Device's Audio went OFF during install/uninstall of old/new Java application 1.8 /1.8.0_191

Device's Audio went OFF during install/uninstall of old/new Java application.I have this Oracle application that needs to run on latest java update. I updated the application but can't proceed due to the older version i had and it needed to be removed before i proceed the update. After installing the latest java update, i tried playing audio on my device but got no output/response from my speaker hardware. The audio driversRealtek, volumes, mixer panel, are working fine in my device manager.

Can't install Java 8 Update 91 in Windows 10

Incorrect on the instructions:

Step 1: Windows R --> Services.msc

(plural, not singular, otherwise you can't even get past step 1)

Anyway, regardless of starting the service, after installing Java 8 update 91 on Windows 10, a reboot results in a command prompt window with a path error locating the java exe

why??!!!

 

No Audio Output Device is Installed

Hi,

You will need to select Windows 8 from the drop down list while installing the driver in compatibility mode.

I would suggest you to try setting the speaker as default audio output by following the steps below and check if it helps.

1. Right click on the sound icon on the right bottom corner of the taskbar.

2. Select "playback devices".

3. If "speaker" is not set as the default device, highlight it and click "set as default".

5. Save the changes.

Unable to auto update Java 8

after recently doing a fresh install of Win10 on my desktop PC, I installed the (at that time) most recent Java JDK for x64 and x86 including the corresponding JREs. Eversince I get the following error message just before the autoupdater completed downloading the current update:

when updating manually by downloading the installer from the website, installing the new version and removing the old one.. that works, but when the next update comes out, the error will reappear.

Also, and I have to say that this is just a guess and I don't know for certain: The Java version in the error message always seems to be the same.

I tried deleting Java temporary files and certain AppData folders as some google searching suggested this solution, but it didn't help. Any ideas?
