Windows 10: DHCP services could not start

I’m having internet problems. I have an ethernet cable connected to my computer, however the internet icon has dissapered from my taskbar and I dont have internet at all. I think this has to do with the DHCP services. When I try to run the DHCP services I get an error.


”Windows could not start the DHCP services on Local computer”

”Erro 193: 0xc1”

The DHCP Server service terminated without a valid clue

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol): Every device on TCP/IP needs unique IP address to access the network. DHCP controls the allotment of IP addresses. However, if
you can access internet, DHCP should work fine. But if there is some issue with the internet, you can follow these steps and resolve the DHCP error.

I suggest you to follow the troubleshooting steps mentioned below:

1. Press Windows and
   R key together on your Keyboard.
   
2. Type Control and hit enter.
   
3. Click on Network and internet > click on Change adapter settings
   on the left pane.
   

4. Right click on the Ethernet connection you are using and select properties.


5. Select Internet protocol version 4 (TCP/IPV4) and click on properties.


6. Check the following radio boxes:

• Obtain an IP address automatically
• Obtain DNS server address automatically

7. Now windows 10 will retrieve the IP address automatically.

DHCP will not start . Error 5.

Have not been able to get automatic IP on LAN because DHCP won't start .
The error message when trying to restart DHCP is :
"Windows was unable to restart DHCP Client service . Error 5 : Access Denied."
I am able to connect to the internet with a static IP .
I have no restoration points on my computer .

This is what I have tried so far -->

The usual commands :

• ipconfig /flushdns
• netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt
• netsh winsock reset catalog
• netsh int tcp set heuristics disabled
• netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled
• netsh int tcp set global rss=enabled
• ipconfig / release
• ipconfig /renew

I have , of course , contacted my ISP and they have found nothing wrong on their side (or in the router) .


I have also uninstalled / reinstalled my network adaptor .

Have also tried modifying the registry by assigning permissions at :
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\DHCP\


Now digging deeper , I set the command :
CMD /K SC QC DHCP


This was what I got (note the system is in Spanish) :
