    Diagnosing a BSOD driver issue.


    Hello,Every now and then sometimes a month apart I've been getting a seemingly random blue screen. I've error checked my SSDs, stress tested my hardware and nothing. Also, I'm not overclocking outside of a default XMP profile for my RAM. Well tonight I used the Driver Verifier and once I restarted, I immediately got another bluescreen which leads me to a driver issue. The things that popped up are "ntoskrnl.exe" "vmulti.sys" and "Wdf01000.sys".Here is a link to the dmp file.https://1drv.ms/u/s!AjM5dDkowBMhgk0n5YDp1j8LGgGv?e=03OgoOIf anyone can point me to the driver or issue that's causing

    BSOD- atikmpag.sys

    This is most likely due to an installation/upgrade error with ATI driver's. I suggest doing DriveSweeper and the following:
    • Drivesweeper all drivers & in Safe Mode
    • Unistall all drivers that aren't used in DriveSweeper (CCC Profiler Updates, MSI AfterBurner, anything related to ATI that use's it's drivers.)
    • After you do this, the first thing you need to do is go into Device Manager and Unistall your ATI Drivers

    Once your done, restart the PC and then try installing the latest drivers.


    I had several issues with this in the past, but I overcame it with logical reasoning and whenever I have a driver issue, I just use these steps and I always overcome the problem.

    Hi Matt,

    In order to further diagnose the issue, I would suggest you to check the same issue with the new user account.

    Try these steps to create a new user account and check if it fixes the issue. Refer to the steps below to create a new User Account:

    • Go to Settings.
    • Choose Accounts and then select Other User Accounts towards the left.
    • Select Add an Account.
    • Enter a user name and hit Next.
    • Click on Finish.
    • Sign out from the current Account and Log into the new account.
    • Check if issue persists.
