    Diagnosing PC Crash


    Hi,


    I did a hard reset of my laptop after it began to crash when I tried to log in. It didn’t help the issue but everything seemed to be working smoothly after I went into Safe Mode. I then proceeded to go through the non-Windows apps in the msconfig command prompt and it looked like unchecking some of those programs made my laptop function normally in its regular mode. When I went to re-download Google Chrome in regular mode, my laptop froze again and I woukd get a black screen when I restarted it. I did the steps to turn it off then on (then off and on, etc.) to get to the Advanced Options screen but now its been stuck on “Diagnosing your PC” for quite a while. I’ve gone through this process several times and I’ve been able to find a way around this before but I can’t seem to find a fix this time because I get a black screen with a loading cursor when I try to start it normally. Is there any way to resolve this problem? Thanks.

    I suggest you run rthdribl > http://www.daionet.gr.jp/~masa/archives/rthdribl_1_2.zip
    Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
    What happens?
    If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

    P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
    Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
    What X1800XT model do you own exactly?

    all games crash!

    ive watch my temps and both the cpu and gpu are within normal ranges. when it freezes it simply freezes the image and stops the sound. i must reboot to get back to windows.

    Diagnosing PC Crash

    PC Crashing on every game Diagnosing PC Crash :(

    OK what i am gonna do - i will take second pc from my friend... Will build all my sistem on his MB... And then if it crashes... - will step by step take out my parts and put his - untill i have no crash any more... Damn it sounds stupid and will take like all day :S... Any other ideas how to make effective testing if i have second PC?

    Or maybe give it away to disruption? *Big Grin Diagnosing PC Crash :D
